I realized two things when taking these photos.
First, there really are some incredibly beautiful and incredibly serene spots in my “backyard.” Directly south of The Museum of Science and Industry is wide open land made up of not only ponds, fields, and a river, but also The Osaka Japanese Garden. How I have lived here my whole life and am only now discovering this garden is a bit of a mystery to me. This spot is completely tranquil, quiet, and even on a Sunday- empty. Other than the tall buildings in the distance, you would never really know that you are in a bustling city, just a few hundred feet from Lake Shore Drive. The only sounds are birds, wind, and water. I may have found my new happy place.
Second, my child has clearly REALLY started to get comfortable in front of my camera.
Incredible Julia, I love them all. Such great work!
Awesome! So happy you found a new place that is quiet & relaxing to hang out at!
