10 on 10: one subject, ten ways

Welcome to April’s installment of “10 on 10”- ten photographs posted on the 10th of each month with a theme which our blog circle chooses.
The theme this month was to choose one item (person, place, or thing) and photograph it ten different ways.  With the still cold and rainy weather we’ve been seeing lately in Chicago, I choose to work with something inanimate that could be shot from the comfort of my warm and dry home.  I arrived on sweet pink tulips picked out by my sweet little guy

I think this month’s theme pushed me to both photograph and edit in a slightly different manner from how I normally do, and I had a lot of fun trying something new!

Now before you go, please head over to West Sussex, England, to check out the very talented Alex Rickard’s interpretation of our theme!

[…] be sure to check out the next photographer in our blog circle, the fabulous Julia Tulley from Chicago. I adore her work and hope you will take a moment to check out what she has to share […]

Love, love, love! The first photo should be the cover of a wedding album – gorgeous! The picture of Connor smelling the flower is amazing – look at those eyelashes! My favorite though, might have to be the one of his little hands holding it so gently. What a sweet image. xo
